He was predeceased by: his parents, James Robert Kenneth Whitlock and Leda Frances Michael Whitlock; his wife Betty Jean Arey Whitlock; his siblings, Mary Ann Whitlock and Edward Harrison Whitlock; and his friend Betty Lou Wenger.
He is survived by: his daughter Deborah K. Johnson; his granddaughters, Holly Christine Johnson and Sarah Elizabeth Johnson of Louisville, KY; his great grandchildren, Kennedy, Samuel and Emma; his son Kenneth W. Whitlock of Waynesboro; and also, Sandra Strawderman (Gerald), Carenda, Blair, Matt Cox and Charles Wenger (Crystal) of Linville.
A graveside service was held on Friday, February 14th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Oak Lawn Mausoleum and Memory Gardens (1921 Shutterlee Mill Rd, Staunton, VA 24401).
