Bussard and Verna "Vernie" Miller Bussard; her children, Alexander "Sonny" Forrest Smith, Jr., Dorothy "Dot" Marie Cash and Ronald "Butch" Carson Smith; her grandson Brent Allen Cash; and her siblings, Dale W. Bussard, Ward M. Bussard, Lenna B. Carroll and Lennis B. Lockridge.
She is survived by: her daughter-in-law Deanna M. Smith; her grandchildren, Eric Forrest Smith (Abigail) of Houston, Shaun Alexander Smith (Jen Little) of Portland and John Travis Smith (Karla) of Austin, Texas; her granddaughter-in-law Carol Cash of Swoope; her great grandchildren, Brandon Cash, Travis Cash, Sadie Smith, Jackson Smith, Sage Smith, Maisie Smith, Luca Smith, Natalie Smith and Lily Smith; and her sister-in-law Ellen Bussard of Gum Springs. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, January 14th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Henry Funeral Home (1030 W Beverley St, Staunton, VA 24401). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, January 15th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Staunton Church of the Brethren (1615 N Coalter St, Staunton, VA 24401).
