He was predeceased by: his parents, Conley Ferdinand Maddox and Irene Gertrude Maddox (Fitzgerald); his brothers, James Maddox, Thurman Maddox, Carl Maddox (Mathilda) and Ernest Maddox (Bonnie); and his siblings-in-law, Bonnie Maddox and Sidney Parrish.
He is survived by: his wife Juanita Catherine Maddox (Varner) of Staunton; his children, Glenn Maddox (Vickie) of Swoope and Judy McIlwee (Gene) of Staunton; his siblings, Lonnie Maddox of Waynesboro and Margarette Parrish of Sanford, NC; his sister-in-law Irma Maddox; his grandchildren, Kimberly Cash (Sam) of Raphine, Steven Maddox (Chelby) of Raphine, Megan McIlwee of Staunton, Jason McIlwee (Katie) of Lyndhurst, Casey Fitzgerald (Michelle) and Kelly Williams (Mike); his great grandchildren, Sam Cash III (Ana), Aspen Johnson (Tyler), Madison Cash, Ty Maddox, Tenley Maddox, Nicholas McIlwee, Lauren Clodi (Kyle), Jonah Fitzgerald, Aaron Williams (Coral) and Daniel Williams; and his great great grandchildren, Jett Clodi and Catalina Williams. He is also survived by cousins, nieces, and nephews.
