She was predeceased by: her parents, Mason Francis and Marian Gibson Herndon Smith; her sister Malrie Herndon Smith; and her uncles, Starke Smith (Emma) and Joe Rucker (Alice).
She is survived by: her brother Starke Herndon Smith (Jean); her nieces, Elaine S. Campbell and Emily S. Reno (John); her great-nieces, Haley, Anna Campbell and Lindsey Reno; and her great-nephew Mason Reno.
A memorial service was held on Saturday, November 16th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Henry Funeral Home (1030 W Beverley St, Staunton, VA 24401).
In lieu of flowers, it is suggested that memorial contributions may be made to St. Paul's Church (2000 Shutterlee Mill Road, Staunton, VA 24401); The Augusta Regional SPCA (PO Box 2014, Staunton, VA 24402); Cat's Cradle (PO Box 2128, Harrisonburg, VA 22802); or to the Highland County Humane Society (PO Box 458, Monterey, VA 24465).
