She was predeceased by: her parents, William Baxter and Lucy Talley (Plecker); her husband Layton Derrer Diehl; her son-in-law Ronald Carmean; and her sisters, Mildred Fink and Catherine Carpenter.
She is survived by: her daughter Susan Carmean of Newport News; her sister Nancy Wiseman Bailey of Mt. Solon; her grandchildren, Jeffrey Roudabush, Dwayne Roudabush and Amy Blalock; her great grandchildren, Kendra Cash, Baylee Blalock, Sarah Roudabush and Hannah Roudabush; and her great great grandchildren, Layton Cash and Coltan Miller. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
