He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Fitzhugh Hamilton, Sr. and Mary Frances Jackson Vass; his children, Fitzhugh "Buddy" Hamilton Vass, III (Lynn) of Virginia Beach and Freya Vass of Kent, England; his grandchildren, Brett Vass of Virginia Beach, Hazel Rhee of Kent and Brittany Neilson of Pensacola, Florida; his stepchildren, Jason Hughes of Des Moines, Brian Hughes of Menefee, California and Jennifer Faccio of San Diego, California; and his stepgrandchildren, Lauren Hughes, Aiden Hughes, Abby Faccio and Andrea Faccio.
