She was predeceased by: her husband Jack Maynard Smith; and her father Elijah Mitchell. She is survived by: her children, Debra B. Faught (Warren), Mack Blackwell (Donna) and Sterlin Blackwell (Nancy); her stepsons, Jack Smith (Sharon), Geary Smith (Terry) and Glen Smith; and her siblings, James "Pete" Smith, Roy Smith and Molly Billings. She is also survived by twelve grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
