She was predeceased by: her parents, Benjamin Lyle, Sr. and Clara Maude Creasy Donald; her husband William Thompson; her siblings, Benjamin "B. L." Lyle Donald, Jr. and Clara Virginia Donald Garrison; and her half-brother Floyd "Monk" Benjamin Donald.
She is survived by: her children, Timothy William Thompson (Patty Gwozdecke) of Middletown and Robin Elaine Thompson Harrison (Maurice) of Staunton. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and some close friends.
Visitation was held on Monday, February 17th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Henry Funeral Home (1030 W Beverley St, Staunton, VA 24401). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, February 18th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the same location.
