She was predeceased by: her spouse Thomas Eugene Shipe; her parents, William Wallace Ratcliff and Mary Virginia Ratcliff (Hise); her son Tommy Lee Shipe; her grandson Thomas Eugene "Tommy" Breeden; and her siblings, John Oscar Ratcliff (Nancy), Mary Rudin (Ratcliff), Doris Virginia Doyle and Betty Boyd (Ratcliff).
She is survived by: her children, Robert William Shipe of Staunton, James Edward Shipe of Stuarts Draft, Deborah Kay "Debbie" Breeden (Jake Alexander) of Fork Union and Mary Virginia Almarode (Don Flint) of Crimora; her daughters-in-law, Teresa, Kim and Janette Shipe; her siblings, Ronnie Duncan (Shelvy) of Stuarts Draft, Annie Mae Wood (Ratcliff) of Staunton, Hazel Irene Bobb (Ratcliff) of Tennessee and Marni Janett West (Steve) of Waynesboro; and her brother-in-law Robert Boyd of Union Town, Ohio. She is also survived by twelve grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 26th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Coffman Funeral Home and Crematory (230 Frontier Dr, Staunton, VA 24401). A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, October 26th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Coffman Funeral Home Chapel (230 Frontier Dr, Staunton, VA 24401). A burial will be held on Saturday, October 26th 2024 at 12:00 PM at the Oaklawn Memory Gardens (1921 Shutterlee Mill Rd, Staunton, VA 24401).
