He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Bryan Newlen and Delores Jean Newlen (Robertson); his siblings, Thomas W. Newlen and Gail Cash; and his granddaughter Tyleighah Newlen.
He is survived by: his daughter Chasiti Mae Newlen (Richard Johnson); his siblings, Robert Robertson (Ellen) of Staunton, Ricky Newlen (Suzanne) of Waynesboro and Dana Cash of Churchville; and his grandchildren, Aveah Johnson, Brianna Bowden, Carter Johnson, Haydn Johnson and Braydn Johnson.
