With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Cleta May (Howdyshell) Brooks of Staunton, Virginia, who passed away on February 8, 2025 at the age of 93. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her spouse Russell Thomas Brooks of Howardsville Road; her parents, Lee Henry Fillmore Howdyshell and Amanda Elizabeth Howdyshell (Simmons); her siblings, Roy Howdyshell, Bob Howdyshell, Pauline Jarvis, Ella Botkin and Nancy Sweet; and her son-in-law Earle "Buddy" Weekley, Jr..
She is survived by: her daughters, Debra Ann Weekley of Dayton and Linda Sue Brooks (Ken Clark) of Stuarts Draft; her grandson John Lacy Farrish (Tricia); her brother Ronnie Howdyshell; her niece Becky Howdyshell; and her close friend Dixie Miller. She is also survived by numerous other nieces and nephews.
