He is survived by: his mother Cindy Rettig Sprinkle (late Howard B. Sprinkle); his children, Megan Hughes (Devin) and Ethan Bernier (Nikki); his sister Amy Tolbert (Mike); his grandchildren, Skylar Hughes, Novalynne Bernier, Brantley Hughes and Ezekiel Bernier; his stepgrandchildren, Keaghan Hughes, Jarad Bernier and Jayce Bernier; and his nieces, Abby Barnes (Christian), Katie Tolbert and Macy Tolbert.

A celebration of life was held on Wednesday, March 26th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Mt Ed Baptist Church (1606 Craigs Store Rd, Afton, VA 22920).
