He is survived by: his mother Christina Maffet Whittle of Saluda; his wife Belva Pullin Whittle of Staunton; his daughters, Tina King (Mike) and Tabatha Hyder (John); his stepchildren, Dana Pullin (Jennifer), Michelle Painter (Chris) and Bert Shiflett (Melissa); his siblings, Jenny Henry (Lee), Jackie Martin (Richard), Chrissie Whittle, Rhonda Willis (Nathan), Mark Whittle (Linda) of Florida and Joe McCray of Waynesboro, VA.; his grandchildren, Mallory King and Lili Hyder; his stepgrandchildren, Josh Pullin (Meaghan), Jared Pullin, Andrew Fix, Levi Shiflett, Bradley Painter, Nick Wichael and Sarah Trimble; and his stepgreat-grandchildren, Olivia Pullin, Ava Wichael and Jack Wichael.
