It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Catherine Audrey S. Fitzpatrick (Staunton, Virginia), who passed away on March 15, 2023, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband John Arthur Fitzpatrick, Sr.; her father James Osborne; her son John "Artie" Fitzpatrick, Jr.; and her sister Elizabeth Smith Leech. She is survived by: her children, Darnice F. Payne (Bishop T. E. Payne, Sr.), Audrey F. Banks (Charles, Sr.), Minister Sharon F. Darcus-Bowden (Jimmy) and Kay F. White (Charles); her grandchildren, Minister Theodore Payne, Jr. (LaGoldia), Jonathan Payne (Sonya), Minister Mark Payne (Kera), Casaundra Banks-Darcus (Ernest), Charles S. Banks, Jr. (Sheba), Allen Darcus III (Teresa), Zachary Darcus (Amy), Stephanie Menashe (Gilead), Samone B. Coley, Sheila B. Woodard, Renae B. Merritt, Josiah Sims, Monty Sims, Ezell Green (Karina), Omarh Rajah (Vantrese), Catherine Fitzpatrick (Jay Armstrong), Michelle Fitzpatrick and Timothy Fitzpatrick (Darlene McClean); and her cousin Ophelia W. Kier. She is also survived by five great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
