It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Byrl Eugene Shaver of Staunton, Virginia, who passed away on February 28, 2024, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Alfred Shaver and Wilma Shaver Zirk (Eye); and his sisters, Mary Dettra and Martha Clarke. He is survived by: his children, Byrl Shaver, II (Janet), James Shaver (Lee) of Allenhurst, GA, Elizabeth Cooke of Staunton and Paul Shaver (Kimberly); his brother Benny Shaver (JoAnn) of Peru, WV; and his grandchildren, Joseph Shaver, Jeremiah Shaver, Joshua Shaver, Joel Shaver, Derek Cooke, Jason Cooke, Aaron Shaver and Annaka Shaver. He is also survived by ten great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.
