It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Brenda S. Childress of Staunton, Virginia, who passed away on January 7, 2025, at the age of 72, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Though Brenda may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Brenda touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Edna N. Hartless and Charles E. Bingler; her husband Larry T. Childress; and her daughter Terri L. Childress. She is survived by: her son Jeff Childress of Fishersville; her grandchildren, Shelby Childress and Gavin Childress; her sisters, Carolyn McLaughlin of Waynesboro, Sharon Noel of Appomattox and Dorothea Hatcher of Natural Bridge; and her brother-in-law Willie Hatcher.
