It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joy Lynn Wist-Thorpe of Star Tannery, Virginia, born in Annapolis, Maryland, who passed away on October 5, 2023, at the age of 66, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, John Herbert and Gladys Ruth Marshall Wist. She is survived by: her husband Steven Warren Thorpe; her son John Warren Thorpe; her siblings, Gary Allen Wist, Vivian Dale Hall, Denise Ellen Wist, Beverly Ann Tedder and Royce Lee Wist; and her stepsister Sylvia Mattison. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
