With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Essie Marie Horton of Star Tannery, Virginia, who passed away on October 25, 2023. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Juanita Hawk (Plaugher) and Lawrence Edward Hawk; and her siblings, Carol Ann Knotts of Canton Ohio and Edward Allen Hawk of Petersburg, WV.. She is survived by: her husband William Horton; her sister Doris Elizabeth Hawk of Bayard, WV; and her children, Donna Scott (Larry), Brandon Horton (Jessica) and Brent Horton. She is also survived by many loving grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Memorial contributions may be made in memory of Essie to any local SPCA or animal shelter of the donor's choice.
