He was predeceased by: his parents, Alvin Pettitt and Mary Elizabeth Sprouse; his son Jeremy Collins; and his sister Barbara. He is survived by: his children, Karry Herndon, Sarah Butts and Jamie Pettitt. He is also survived by eight grandchildren.
