She was predeceased by: her parents, Jerry Walker Spencer and Lula Spencer Barnes; and her husband Bernard J. Atkins. She is survived by: her siblings, Jerry "JW" Walker Spencer, Velma Prillaman and Ruby Ramsey; her son B. Jerry Atkins (Norvelline); and her granddaughters, Penny A. Coates (Steve) and Christy Ingram. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation was held on Friday, February 21st 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Fort Trial Baptist Church (170 Oak Level Rd, Stanleytown, VA 24168). A funeral service was held on Friday, February 21st 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
