He was predeceased by: his parents, William C. Shelton and Nellie Adkins Shelton; and his brothers, Walter Shelton and David Shelton. He is survived by: his wife Shirley Lee Shelton (Sours); his stepdaughters, Pam Cook of Luray, Robin Moyer (Greg) of Luray and Jackie McCoy (Steve) of Luray; his brother Carl Shelton of Fall Branch, Tennessee.; and his stepgrandchildren, Ashley Summers and Amanda "Mandy" Cook. He is also survived by seven step great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
