With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Vernie Pearl Shifflett of Stanardsville, Virginia, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on November 30, 2024 at the age of 89. She was predeceased by: her parents, Walter Leak Shifflett and Lillie Bell Shifflett; her husband Hobert Scott Shifflett; her daughter Anna Mae Pullen; and her siblings, Pauline Shifflett, Clarence, Onnie, Kemper Shifflett and Brian Morris.
She is survived by: her daughter Shirley S. Hensley (Marvin); her grandson Michael Scott Pullen (Whitnie Flavell); her great grandchild Jasmine A. Pullen (Billy Boggs); her son-in-law David M. Pullen (Linda); her sister Tessie Conley; and also, Lois Conley and James Meadows.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 5th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the Preddy Funeral Home (59 Edgewood School Ln, Madison, VA 22727). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, December 5th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
