He was predeceased by: his parents, Quint McKinley Woodward and Anna Belle Smith Woodward; his wife Violet Conley Woodward; his son Darrell Keith Woodward; and his brother Preston Harvey Woodward.
He is survived by: his children, Janice W. Shifflett (C. W.), Sandra Faye Woodward and Gary Lee Woodward of Stanardsville; his niece Dora Ann Sheler; his grandchildren, Harry Lee Shifflett and Anna Nicole Shifflett; his nephews, Norman Conley, Kenneth Conley and Steve Conley; his great-niece Abigail Sheler; and his great-nephew Gavin Sheler.
