It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Peachey Eugene Shifflett of Stanardsville, Virginia, who passed away on October 20, 2022, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Gemes Osby Shifflett and Gladys Shifflett; her husband Gordon Lee Shifflett; her daughter Betty Shifflett Lam; her brothers, Cecil Shifflett and Recil Shifflett; her sons-in-law, Robert Knowles and John Forloines; and her sisters-in-law, Sandy Shifflett and Margaret Shifflett.
She is survived by: her daughters, Martha Forloines and Cheryl Knowles; her siblings, Lois Shifflett (Freeman), Barbara Breeden (Ronnie), Melvin Shifflett and Norman Shifflett (Ruth); her sister-in-law Christine Shifflett; and her grandchildren, Wendy Bishop (Sam), John M. Forloines (Belinda), Brandon Forloines, Dustin Forloines (Lexi), Logan Forloines (Amber), Brittany Knowles, Ashleigh Spangler (Dustin), Samantha Schirtzinger (Mike) and Christopher Lam. She is also survived by 18 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great grandchildren; and many other family members and friends.
