Lois Jane Shifflett Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Lois Jane Shifflett of Stanardsville, Virginia, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on February 1, 2025 at the age of 87. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As we bid Lois Jane farewell, let us not mourn the absence of her physical form, but rather celebrate the essence of her spirit that lingers in the spaces between moments. For Lois Jane is not truly gone, but merely transformed, her energy intertwined with the fabric of the universe itself, forever dancing among the stars.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Osby Shifflett and Gladys Geer Shifflett; her husband Hubert Freeman Shifflett; and her siblings, Cecil Shifflett, Recil Shifflett and Peachy Shifflett.
She is survived by: her siblings, Melvin Shifflett, Norman Shifflett (Ruth) and Barbara Breeden (Ronnie); and her sisters-in-law, Christine Shifflett, Shelva Jean Allen and Geneva Shifflet. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
A funeral service was held on Tuesday, February 4th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Evergreen Church of the Brethren (645 Evergreen Church Rd, Stanardsville, VA 22973).
