He was predeceased by: his parents, James B. Keenan and Ruth Keenan; his sister Jackie Prather; his parents-in-law, Earl and Edna Holbrook; and his brother-in-law Eugene Holbrook.
He is survived by: his wife Marie Holbrook Keenan; his son James Michael Earl Keenan (Michelle Powell Keenan); his grandsons, Benjamin Michael Keenan, Nathaniel James Keenan and Alexander David Keenan; his sisters, Myrna Keenan and Sharon Clark (Frank); and his brother-in-law Floyd Prather.
Following the COVID-19 restrictions set forth by the Governor of Virginia on face-covering requirements and social distancing, a Graveside Service and Interment for Jim Keenan will be conducted at 1:00 p. m. Saturday, August 22, 2020, at Temple Hill Memorial Park in Castlewood, Virginia with Rev. Bert Foster officiating.
