He was predeceased by: his father Elijah Catterton Chapman (Jack); and his son-in-law Gregory Haney. He is survived by: his wife Peggy Weakley Chapman; his children, Gail Chapman Vitez (Daniel), Shirley Chapman Haney and Troy Thomas Chapman (Bonnie); his grandchildren, Leanne O'Neill (Shaun), Nathan Haney (Amy), Kevin Vitez, Douglas Vitez, Mason Chapman and Lexi Chapman; and his great grandchildren, Haley, Gavin, Livvy, Boone and Avery.
