He was predeceased by: his parents, Ches Knight and Mary Geer Knight; his wife Ruth Marie Shifflett Knight; his son Wayne Neal Knight; and his siblings, Ollie Edward Knight, Winfred Thomas Knight, Bobby Lee Knight, Eleanor Knight Dunnivan and Maxine Knight Berry.
He is survived by: his children, James Ellis "Jim" Knight (Terri), Glenda Faye Williams (Dale) and Reba Mae Knight; his daughter-in-law Judy Collier Knight; his grandchildren, Phillip Dale Knight (Sarah), Sabrina Knight Knott (Allen), Travis Dale Williams and Dustin Earl Knight; and his great grandchildren, Sidnee Faith Knight, Jadon Wayne Knight, Kalee Grace Knight, Alysa Mae Knott and Bricen Dale Williams.
Visitation was held on Friday, December 27th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Preddy Funeral Home (59 Edgewood School Ln, Madison, VA 22727). A funeral service was held on Saturday, December 28th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
