He was predeceased by: his parents, Ralph Palmer Smith and Jacqueline Angeletta Smith. He is survived by: his wife Jean L. Smith; his children, Loretta Lynn Farley (Thomas) of Waynesboro and Ralph Smith of Charlottesville; his grandchildren, Olivia Farley of Waynesboro and Austin Farley of Waynesboro; his siblings, Gary Smith (Marie) of Frederick, Delores Nash of Bridgewater, Jerry Neal Smith of Brightwood, Virginia and Frank Stump of North Carolina; his friends, Randall, Ann Lawson, Jesse Scheckler and Brandon McDaniel; his close friend Gilmer Lawson of Stanardsville; and also Bonnie Eppard.
