With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Barbara Blakey Massie of Stanardsville, Virginia, who passed away on September 14, 2023 at the age of 95. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Edward Blakey and Rebecca Gordon Blakey; her children, Deloise Williams, Allen, Donald and Perry Massie; and her siblings, Keith, Howard, John, James, Daniel Blakey, Virginia Jackson, Cereather Smith, Ruth Blakey Waller, Martha Slaughter, Salley Thompson and Mary McCullen.
She is survived by: her daughters, Lula Burley of Stanardsville, Barbara Brock of Stanardsville and Florence Tibbs of Charlottesville; and her daughter-in-law Peggy Massie of Elkton. She is also survived by twenty-two grandchildren, twenty-four great-grandchildren, and eight great-great-grandchildren.
