He was predeceased by: his parents, Ernest Castle and Hilda Knill Remsburg; his sister Pamela Owens; and his stepdaughter Kimberly Shields. He is survived by: his wife Mary Alice Spelman Castle; his children, Zachery Castle (Epi Newcomb) and Rebecca Castle; his stepchildren, James Shields (Nicole) and Valerie Shields Rey (Tommy); his stepgrandchildren, Ryan, Ella Rey and Venice Saraceno; and his siblings, Constance Reynolds, Steve Castle (Terry) and Mike Castle (Johanna). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews; and more extended family.
