Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved Grover Franklin Yates of Stafford, Virginia, who passed away at the age of 92, on July 23, 2024. He was predeceased by: his parents, Quay Yates and Laura Yates; his son Allen Yates; his daughter-in-law Michelle Yates; and his siblings, Royal, John, Clyde, Cordell Yates, Stella Breeding, Elsie Tarwater, Edith Honaker and Van Taylor.

He is survived by: his wife Thelma Yates; his children, George Yates (Pam), Randall Yates (Paula), Jeffrey Yates and Jody Marrs (Vickie); his siblings, Tivis Yates (Sue), Jean Francis and Joyce Taylor (Jerry); his daughter-in-law Melody Yates; and his daughter Michelle Raymond. He is also survived by eleven grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
