She was predeceased by: her parents, Mary Jenkins and Melvin Jenkins; and her siblings, Leah Bowie, Josephine Hall, Jewell Smith and Raymond Jenkins.

She is survived by: her husband Gene A. Allen; her daughters, Margaret Clark (Cord), Barbara Poe (Glen) and Brenda Palacino; and her grandchildren, Steven West (Lisa), Tammy Baker (Vincent), Rodney Newton, Jr. (Stephanie), Amanda Lam (Steve), Melissa Newton (Amanda) and Taylor Palacino. She is also survived by numerous great-grandchildren.

Visitation was held on Thursday, October 31st 2024 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the Covenant Funeral Service (10830 Patriot Hwy, Fredericksburg, VA 22408). A graveside service was held on Thursday, October 31st 2024 at 12:00 PM at the Oak Hill Cemetery (1902 Plank Rd, Fredericksburg, VA 22401).
