She was predeceased by: her husband Ernest Pittman Grimsley, Sr.; her son William Clifton Grimsley; her sister Harriett Hough; her nephew James Monroe Hough, Jr.; her niece Ada Mae Price; and her great grandchild Amanda Kathleen Rice.

She is survived by: her children, Linda Rice (Dave), Peggy Ridley Ernest Grimsley, Jr. (Candy), Debra Ward (Steve) and David Grimsley (Amelia); her grandchildren, Chris Rice Sammy (Rebecca), Laura Ridley, Jamie Gleason (Josh), Buddy Grimsley (Kaitlin), Brandon Ward (Sara) and Ashley Rhodes (Robert); and her daughter-in-law Trisha Grimsley of Concord, NC. She is also survived by 19 Great Grandchildren and 4 great great grandchildren.
