He was predeceased by: his parents, Norma Perdue and Reva Perdue; his siblings, Treva P. Toothman, Nadine P. Cox and The Reverend Jack Perdue; and his grandson Daniel Byrne.

He is survived by: his wife Sally Clements Perdue; his sons, Chad A. Perdue (Amanda) of Savannah, GA and Todd K. Perdue (Erin) of Burke, VA; his former wife Sue Rutherford of Myrtle Beach, SC; his daughters, Connie P. Logan of Greensboro, NC, Sherry P. Byrne of Ozark, MO and Marjorie P. Green of Waco, TX.; his brother Theodore A. Perdue (Dorothy) of Dumfries, VA; and his brothers-in-law, Boyd M. Clements (Linda) of Gloucester, VA and William S. Clements (Sandra) of Warsaw, VA. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren.
