We are sad to announce that on September 11, 2023, at the age of 80, Douglas Julian Atwell of Springfield, Virginia passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Kathleen Sue Crenshaw Atwell; his children, Julie Ann Cloutier and Steven Atwell; and his grandchildren, Ashley Freiling, Amber Kirland, Abigail Conwell and Asa Cloutier.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Multiple Sclerosis Association or American Cancer Society.
