He was predeceased by: his parents, Morris R. Young and Vivian Young; his wife Sue Delle Young; his son Kelly Richard Young; and his brother Troy Young.

He is survived by: his sons, Charles S. Young (Donna) and Daniel E. Young (Debrah); his grandchildren, Adam Young, Caitlin Heller, Jessica Young, Kathryn Young and Micah Young; and his great grandchildren, Josh, Alexis and Quinn.

In lieu of flowers, his family has requested that contributions be made to Virginia Mennonite Retirement Community Foundation in Charles' memory.
