He is survived by: his wife Helene Pettus (Woody); his daughters, Lana, Meta (Viers) and Tina (Herranen); his grandchildren, Rio, Victor Viers and Amara Herranen; his sons-in-law, Borislav Komarovskiy, Dana Viers and Jon Herranen; and his siblings, W. Clinton Pettus (Kathryn), Bertha Pettus, Beulah Pettus and Shirley McAllister (James). He is also survived by 10 nieces and nephews.
