He is survived by: his children, Glenn Whiting (Janice), Sharon G. Jackson, Brenda Jones (Leander) and Barbara G. Platte (Gary); and his sister-in-law Shirley Whiting. He is also survived by fourteen grandchildren, nineteen great-grandchildren, two godchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends.
