It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Susan Carter Fleming of Spring Grove, Virginia, who passed away on June 16, 2022, at the age of 66, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, W. L. Carter, Sr. and Margaret Allen Carter; and her brother W. L. "Billy" Carter, Jr.. She is survived by: her spouse Russell Alexander Fleming, Sr.; her children, Russell Alexander Fleming, Jr. (Rebecca), Anna Fleming Padgett (Jay) and Randall Carter Fleming (Kelly); her grandchildren, Brittany Owen Fleming, Emma Grace Fleming, Haley Marie Fleming and Russell Alexander Fleming III; her sister Brenda Carter Phelps (Joey); her sister-in-law Beverly Hancock Walker; and her daughter-in-law Jennifer Ellis.
