He is survived by: his daughter Jan Freeman (Sean); his grandchildren, Bryson and Skylar of Mechanicsville, VA.; and his siblings, Ora Whiting of Petersburg, VA, Aretha Hawkins (Herman) of Washington, DC, Calvin Butts (Dorothy) of Newark, NJ and Richard Butts (Alice) of Waverly, VA.. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and close family members.
