She was predeceased by: her parents, Royal "Roy" Lee and Augusta Evanier Hartfield; her daughters, Catherine E. Johns Chawlk and Erlene T. Epps; and her son-in-law Elfago Chawlk.
She is survived by: her children, Lillian Mae Hartfield Epps, Norman O. Epps, Jr. (Paula), Carol E. Fields (Samuel) and Edith E. Mason; and her sister Gloria Reese. She is also survived by ten grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
