It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Steven Dale Elder of Spout Spring, Virginia, born in Richmond, Virginia, who passed away on June 27, 2020, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his wife Margaret Jane Elder; his parents, Lewis Ruthers Elder and Mary Guthrie Elder Pollard; his son Lewis Michael Elder; and his siblings, Allen, Charles "Dick", Jesse, Jimmy Elder, Alice Marie Elder, Mary Lee Atkins and Barbara Mason.
He is survived by: his daughter Stephanie Anastasio (Alexi) of Lynchburg; his granddaughter Andrea Rousseau (Richard); his great grandchildren, Elijah of Appomattox and Briahna of Appomattox; and his siblings, Lewis Elder of Spout Spring, Mike Elder (Lynn) and Nancy Wilcox (Buddy) of Appomattox. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
