She was predeceased by: her spouse Asa C. Grishaw; her parent Elmer H. Ferris; her sister Estelle F. Layne; and her brothers-in-law, Simon Layne and Ronald Perry.

She is survived by: her parent Myrtle Mayberry Ferris Crews; her children, Roger C. Grishaw (Joan) of Spout Spring and Cody Maddox; her wife Samantha; her children, Kandace Earhorn (Ted) and Destiny Grishaw; her siblings, Eugene Ferris of Lynchburg, Joseph Ferris (Kathy) of Spout Spring, Doris Perry of Lynchburg, Edith F. Mayberry (Joe) of Lynchburg and Miriam F. Beard of Lynchburg; and also, Alexis Kate, Dustin Tyler and Mark Grishaw (Brandy).
