He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas J. Layton and Elvada W. Layton; his son Christopher Michael Gilham; and his siblings, Linnard and Sue.
He is survived by: his wife Debbie Gilham; his child Leigh Ann Stroud (Joe); his grandchildren, Dakota Stroud (Jocelynn) and Trinity Branner (Jonathan); and his siblings, Andy, Patricia, Pam, Mike and Jeannie.
