He was predeceased by: his children, Alice Lafayette Thompson and Clarence Randall Carson; and his siblings, A. Burton Carson, Jr., Theodore R. Carson, Ossie C. Anderson, Oneeda C. Thompson, Elsie C. Womack, Alma C. Garrette and Lobelia "Billie" Steele.
He is survived by: his child Aurelius Burton Carson; his wife Mary Cornelia Reynolds Carson; his daughter Brenda Joyce Carson Sauls (Barry) of Spout Spring; his grandchildren, Barry Ward Sauls (Krista) of Zionsville, PA and Chantel Carson Sauls Elder (David) of Appomattox; his great grandchild Brianna Faith Elder of Appomattox; and his sister Frances Roberta Evans of Concord.
