He was predeceased by: his wife Nancy Adkins; his son James "Jimbo" Adkins; and his grandson Gary Adkins, Jr.. He is survived by: his sons, Willis Adkins, Jr. (Terry) of Cape Coral, FL and Gary Adkins (Rita) of Port Charlotte, FL; his grandchildren, Joshua Adkins, John Helinski, Donnie Adkins, Sherry Gossett, Katelyn Adkins and Morgan Fields; and his great grandchildren, Sydney Baker, Ella Gossett, Kristina and Kendall Pearson.
