He was predeceased by: his parents, Horace Taylor and Edna Taylor; his son Jerry; his daughter-in-law Andrea Wheeler; and his brothers, Bryant, Floyd and Warren Taylor.
He is survived by: his wife Virginia Jett Wheeler Taylor; his daughters, Peggy Wheeler and Terrie Suthard (Thomas); his grandchildren, Jesse Peek, Michael Peek (Lori), Arritt Wheeler (Lauren), Kristin Burcham (Jimmy), Beth Vanlandingham (Jason), Morgan Suthard (April) and Ashley Haydon; and his sister Linda Taylor.
