It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Shirley Mae Somers of Spotsylvania, Virginia, who passed away on November 26, 2021, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband Lindwood Robert Somers Sr.; her daughter Karen Franklin; her grandson Donald Somers; her parents, William Riley and Margaret Riley; and her siblings, Margaret Riley, William and James Riley.
She is survived by: her children, Donna Lancaster (Steve), Juanita Phillips (Keith), Jeannie Carlson (Kevin), Teresa Shields (Robbie), Lisa Berry Somers (Ronnie) of Richmond, VA. and Linwood Somers Jr. (Laurie); and her siblings, Brenda Horner and Marvin Riley. She is also survived by Numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.
