Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved Shelby Edenton Hill of Spotsylvania, Virginia, who passed away at the age of 87, on January 14, 2025. She was predeceased by: her husband Morris Arland Hill; her parents, Lee West Edenton, Sr. and Elmira "Ellie" Slachter Edenton; and her siblings, Hiram, Lee West, Jr., L. Campbell, William, Raymond, Rosalie, Hazel "Becky" and Anne.
She is survived by: her son Steven M. Hill; her daughter-in-law Jacqueline Antonella Hill; her grandsons, Lt Steven E. Hill and Armando Antonio Diaz of Paris, France; and her friend Mac Dempsey. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to the Good Hope Baptist Church Cemetery Fund, 5601 Courthouse Road, Spotsylvania, Virginia 22551.
